Stained Glass Squares

Ingredients

• 1 1/4 cups flour
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 3/4 cup butter
• 1 egg
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 1 1/2 cups salted mixed nuts
• 1 1/2 cups glace cherries
• 1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 350 f
• 2 combine flour and first amount of brown sugar.
• 3 cut in butter.
• 4 press into greased 9 x 13 pan
• 5 bake 10 to 15 minutes.
• 6 while base is baking, beat egg slightly & add second amount of brown sugar.
• 7 add nuts, glazed cherries and chocolate chips.blend well.
• 8 spoon this mixture over baked base. press firmly.
• 9 bake for 20 minute
• 10 cool and cut into squares.
