Rolled Oats Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Recipe

  • 1 mix 1/2 cup rolled oats with 1 cup boiling water. set aside, let cool.
  • 2 cream together margarine and sugar, add eggs, add remaining ingredients and rolled oats mixture.
  • 3 blend well.
  • 4 bake 350°f for 30 minutes in an 8x8-inch pan -- cool, ice with a chocolate icing.
  • 5 this is a very moist and delicious chocolate cake. easy.
