Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup vegetable shortening
• 1 3/4 cups sugar
• 1/3 cup egg
• 1 tablespoon egg
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 cup low-fat sour cream
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups chocolate chips
• 1 cup pecans, chopped

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 375°f
• 2 sift together dry ingredients; set aside.
• 3 cream together shortening & sugar.
• 4 gradually add egg whites, beating well after each addition. add vanilla sour cream.
• 5 gradually add dry ingredients to cream mixture. when mixed well, add chocolate chips and pecans.
• 6 drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
• 7 bake 12-15 minutes.
