Sauerkraut Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup drained sauerkraut
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 blend the butter and sugar together in a large bowl.
- 2 add the eggs and mix again.
- 3 sift the dry ingredients together, then add the water alternately with the sifted, dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture.
- 4 stir in the sauerkraut and vanilla.
- 5 put in two 8 x 8 inch pans and bake at 350 f for 30 minutes.
