Shortbread

Total Time: 37 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 22 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 25
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chip (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 pre-heat oven to 300.
  • 2 with an electric mixer (a must), cream together butter, brown sugar & vanilla.
  • 3 add flour and corn starch. mix until smooth.
  • 4 fold in mini chocolate chips (optional).
  • 5 pour granulated sugar in a small bowl. butter the bottom of a small glass and dip in sugar. roll cookies into ball, a tablespoon per cookie. place on cookie sheet and flatten with glass dipped in sugar.
  • 6 bake for 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  • 7 * important. allow to cool for 5 minutes on cookie sheet or they will crumble.
