Sauerkraut Cookies

Ingredients

• 2/3 cup butter
• 2 large eggs
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1 cup sauerkraut, rinsed, drained well
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 12 ounces chocolate chips
• 1 1/2 cups cashews, chopped
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup cocoa

Recipe

• 1 cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs and the vanilla.
• 2 add all dry ingredients and water.mix well.
• 3 add nuts, chocolate chips and kraut.
• 4 mix and drop by heaping tspful onto greased cookie sheets.
• 5 bake about 12 minutes at 350*.
