Sauerkraut Cake

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2/3 cup sauerkraut
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Recipe

  • 1 cream shortening and sugar.
  • 2 add eggs.
  • 3 add dry ingredients with water.
  • 4 add drained and chopped sauerkraut.
  • 5 bake in 9x13 greased and floured baking pan at 350 degrees for 30 min.
  • 6 good with a chocolate frosting.
