Kahlua Parfait

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup kahlua
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream, stiffly whipped

Recipe

  • 1 lightly whisk egg yolks and sugar in a glass bowl.
  • 2 put the bowl in a pan with simmering water.
  • 3 add cocoa and kahlua.
  • 4 keep whisking until it thickens and doubles in size (about 10 minutes).
  • 5 take the bowl out of the pan and keep whisking until the cream has cooled off (about 5 minutes).
  • 6 gently mix the whipped cream with the eggcream.
  • 7 transfer to 4 individual small bowls.
  • 8 freeze several hours.
  • 9 when serving, garnish with a little melted chocolate, berries or whatever you fancy.
