Shiny Chocolate Glaze

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 melt the butter in a small pan over low heat.
  • 2 add cocoa and cream, stir until it thickens, about 2 minutes.
  • 3 do not boil.
  • 4 remove from heat and stir in the sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  • 5 spoon over your cooled cake.
  • 6 if you'd like to add nuts on the glaze, sprinkle them over when the glaze is still warm.
