Peppermint Fudge

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 teaspoons butter, softened (no substitutes)
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 3 tablespoons baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candy
Recipe
- 1 line the bottom and sides of an 8 x 4 x 2 inch loaf pan with foil.
- 2 grease foil with 1 1/2 t.
- 3 butter; set aside.
- 4 in a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese.
- 5 gradually beat in confectioners' sugar, cocoa, milk and vanilla.
- 6 stir in the nuts.
- 7 spread into prepared pan.
- 8 chill for 1 hour or until firm.

- 10 gradually beat in confectioners' sugar, milk and extract.
- 11 stir in peppermint candy.
- 12 spread evenly over chocolate layer.
- 13 chill for about one hour or until firm.
- 14 using foil, lift fudge from pab.
- 15 gently peel off foil.
- 16 cut into squares.
