Oatmeal Cake

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups brown sugar, separated
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips

Recipe

  • 1 mix rolled oats and water; let stand.
  • 2 mix 1 cup brown sugar, sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla in another bowl.
  • 3 add oat mixture.
  • 4 mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  • 5 mix all ingredients together and pour into a greased 9x13â€? pan.
  • 6 sprinkle remaining brown sugar, chocolate chips and butterscotch chips on top of cake.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 30 to 45 minutes, until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean.
  • 8 cool and enjoy.
