Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 3/4 cups brown sugar, separated
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
Recipe
- 1 mix rolled oats and water; let stand.
- 2 mix 1 cup brown sugar, sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla in another bowl.
- 3 add oat mixture.
- 4 mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- 5 mix all ingredients together and pour into a greased 9x13� pan.
- 6 sprinkle remaining brown sugar, chocolate chips and butterscotch chips on top of cake.
- 7 bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 30 to 45 minutes, until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean.
- 8 cool and enjoy.
