Mom's Hershey's Bar Cake

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 8 -9 ounces plain hershey chocolate candy bars
- 1 cup margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts (your preference)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- 2 grease and flour a tube pan.
- 3 melt hershey bars.
- 4 dissolve soda in buttermilk. set aside.
- 5 cream sugar and margarine. add to melted candy. add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 6 add the 2 1/2 cups sifted flour alternately with the buttermilk/soda mixture.
- 7 add vanilla. add nuts. pour into floured pan.
- 8 use a toothpick to check for doneness.
- 9 cool thoroughly. (do not invert pan).
