Ingredients

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- chocolate, melted
Recipe
- 1 in a large, heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and vanilla.
- 2 bring to boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- 3 cook, without stirring, to 290-300°f.
- 4 remove from heat.
- 5 quickly stir in baking soda.
- 6 mix well.
- 7 turn into a deep, buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
- 8 cool, then break into pieces.
- 9 dip into melted chocolate.
