Lower Sugar Oatmeal Caramelita Bars

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup splenda brown sugar blend
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 12 ounces smucker's sugar-free caramel topping
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons flour

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 grease 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • 3 blend all crust ingredients at low speed until crumbly.
  • 4 press half (about 3 cups) into pan.
  • 5 bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • 6 combine caramel and flour, set aside.
  • 7 sprinkle warm crust with chocolate chips.
  • 8 drizzle with caramel mixture; sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
  • 9 bake 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 10 refrigerate 1 to 2 hours until filling sets.
  • 11 cut into bars and enjoy!
