Milk Chocolate Rocky Road Frosting

Ingredients

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped unsalted peanuts
- 1 cup miniature marshmallow
Recipe
- 1 place the sugar, butter and milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil, 3 to 4 minutes.
- 2 remove the pan from the heat, add the chocolate chips and stir until they are melted.
- 3 let the pan rest off the heat to cool slightly, but not completely, 3 to 4 minutes.
- 4 fold in the peanuts and marshmallows until they are well combined and the heat from the frosting begins to melt the marshmallows.
- 5 spread on cake or cupcakes.
