Milk Chocolate Rocky Road Frosting

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup coarsely chopped unsalted peanuts
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallow

Recipe

  • 1 place the sugar, butter and milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • 2 remove the pan from the heat, add the chocolate chips and stir until they are melted.
  • 3 let the pan rest off the heat to cool slightly, but not completely, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • 4 fold in the peanuts and marshmallows until they are well combined and the heat from the frosting begins to melt the marshmallows.
  • 5 spread on cake or cupcakes.
