Swedish Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3 ounces baking chocolate, unsweetened,melted
- 2 cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- dry breadcrumbs
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 325f degrees.
- 2 butter a bundt pan and sprinkle with about 2 tbsp.
- 3 dry breadcrumbs, until it is well-coated.
- 4 in a large bowl, mix the sugar and the shortening and cream well.
- 5 blend in the eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
- 6 stir in the melted chocolate.
- 7 sift together the dry ingredients.
- 8 combine the cream and vanilla extract, and then add to the chocolate mixture alternately with the dry ingredients, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
- 9 pour the batter into the pan and bake for 50-60 minutes.
- 10 cool the cake in the pan a few minutes before removing.
