Nan's Oatmeal Chocolate Cake

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter
• 1 3/4 cups brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 3 tablespoons spoon cocoa
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup hot water
• 1/2 cup oats

Recipe

• 1 add the hot water to the oats in a small bowl and set aside.
• 2 cream marg, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs.
• 3 sift flour, salt, coca and soda.
• 4 add the oats the the butter mixture.
• 5 add the dry ingredients to the wet.
• 6 pour into a 8-8 greased and floured pan.
• 7 bake @ 350 for 30-35 minute.
