Ingredients
- 1 ounce butter
- 7 ounces chocolate, broken up (use the best quality)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (or use 3 teaspoons citrus liqueur like grand marnier or cointreau or van der hum)
- 4 ounces cream cheese
Recipe
- 1 over low heat (or use double boiler or microwave) melt the butter, and add the chopped chocolate. let it melt gently.
- 2 when completely melted, add vanilla or liqueur.
- 3 cool slightly, then whisk in the cream cheese until the mixture is smooth.
- 4 cool, then chill until thick enough to use as a filling for a cake or a swiss roll.
