Quick Choc Mousse Filling For Cakes Or Swiss Roll!

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce butter
  • 7 ounces chocolate, broken up (use the best quality)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (or use 3 teaspoons citrus liqueur like grand marnier or cointreau or van der hum)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese

Recipe

  • 1 over low heat (or use double boiler or microwave) melt the butter, and add the chopped chocolate. let it melt gently.
  • 2 when completely melted, add vanilla or liqueur.
  • 3 cool slightly, then whisk in the cream cheese until the mixture is smooth.
  • 4 cool, then chill until thick enough to use as a filling for a cake or a swiss roll.
