Pudding Ice Cream

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (6 ounce) box chocolate pudding, not instant
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 3 cups milk
  • 385 ml evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 stir sugar, pudding, and cocoa together.
  • 2 stir in first amount of milk.
  • 3 heat, stirring often, until mixture comes to a rolling boil that cannot be stirred down.
  • 4 remove from heat.
  • 5 set saucepan in cold water in sink.
  • 6 stir.
  • 7 lay plastic wrap or waxed paper on pudding to stop crust from forming.
  • 8 cool.
  • 9 add evaporated milk and vanilla.
  • 10 stir well.
  • 11 chill until very cold.
  • 12 turn into ice-cream maker.
  • 13 freeze according to directions.
