Midnite Munchers

Total Time: 1 hr 27 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 17 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 30
  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can ready to spread caramel pecan frosting
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 and grease a 13x9 pan.
  • 2 in large bowl, cream brown sugar and 1/2 cup margarine.
  • 3 blend in vanilla and eggs mixing well.
  • 4 stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
  • 5 divide dough into 2 equal parts.
  • 6 stir melted chocolate into 1 part.
  • 7 drop each section of dough by large spoonfuls randomly into prepared pan.
  • 8 spread evenly.
  • 9 bake 17-22 minutes til golden.
  • 10 cool.
  • 11 spread frosting over bars.
  • 12 freeze for 30 minutes.
  • 13 in small pan combine sugar, 5 tbs margarine and milk.
  • 14 boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • 15 remove from heat and stir in chips until melted and smooth.
  • 16 pour over bars.
  • 17 refrigerate 30 minutes then cut into bars.
  • 18 small sizes.
  • 19 store is refrigerator.
