Mom's Famous Chocolate Cake With Fudge Frosting

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 5 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 lb powdered sugar, unsifted
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 7 tablespoons boiling water
- 6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine, softened
Recipe
- 1 cake:.
- 2 boil water, butter, shortening and cocoa in a medium saucepan until all of the shortening is melted.
