Metz Cake

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup creme fraiche (or heavy cream)
  • 4 ounces grated semisweet chocolate

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f
  • 2 butter an eight-inch round cake pan.
  • 3 beat the eggs and sugar until the mixture is pale in color.
  • 4 sift the flour and blend inches
  • 5 add the cream and chocolate and mix well.
  • 6 pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • 7 turn the cake out onto a rack and cool completely before serving.
