Premium Coconut Ice Cream

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream (heavy)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/3 cup coconut rum (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 combine the first four ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. after coming to a boil remove from heat, cover, and let steep until cool. once it reaches room temperature strain, put in an airtight container, and chill in fridge, at least 2 hours (preferably 40 degrees fahrenheit).
  • 2 get ice cream maker ready!
  • 3 after chilled, thoroughly combine milk mixture, cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla.
  • 4 pour into icecream maker.
  • 5 when the ice cream is about 5-10 minutes from being done you can add in the chocolate chips, shreeded coconut, and if your feeling a little crazy, the rum.
  • 6 *heavy cream can be substituted for the sweetend condensed milk, altough i find it freezes harder and does not taste as good.*.
