Pears De Menthe

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 quarts vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup green cream de menthe liqueur
  • 26 ounces pear halves
  • 14 ounces pear halves
  • 1 (8 ounce) can chocolate syrup

Recipe

  • 1 allow ice cream to stand at room temperature to soften.
  • 2 with rubber scraper, swirl liqueur into it just enough to make streaks; do not overmix.
  • 3 turn into 3 or 4 ice cube trays and freeze until firm - approximately 4 hours.
  • 4 to serve: drain pear halves; arrange on glass serving dish, mound a scoop of ice cream in center of each pear and pour syrup over top.
  • 5 of course you can also do it in individual dessert dishes.
