Noreta's Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2/3 cup pecans, chopped
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 350°f.
- 2 grease and flour a 13 x9 baking pan.
- 3 in a large mixing bowl, stir together 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar. set aside.
- 4 in a saucepan, bring 2 sticks butter, 4 tbsp cocoa, and 1 cup water to a boil.
- 5 pour over flour and sugar mixture.
- 6 add in 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs, 2tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp vanilla.
- 7 pour into greased and floured baking pan and bake for 30 minutes.
- 8 while baking, mix together the following:.
- 9 1 stick softened butter, 4 tbsp cocoa powder, 6 tbsp milk, 4 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 2/3 cup chopped pecans.
- 10 as soon as cake is out of oven, spread frosting over cake.
