instant chocolate oatmeal cookies

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 3 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Recipe

  • in large bowl combine oats, vanilla and salt. stir in pecans.
  • in a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and cocoa. bring to a boil. remove from heat, stir in oats mixture.
  • drop mixture by teaspoonfuls waxed paper. let cool.
